How to prepare yourself for the GAPS Diet.
- Read Gut and Psychology Syndrome – This book was written by Dr. Natasah Campbell-Mcbride, the doctor who developed the GAPS Diet, and it goes into detail about the issues that can arise from a leaky gut and how the GAPS Diet can help. When you understand why you are doing something, it can give you a lot more motivation to actually stick with it. There are lots of great articles out there about GAPS, and it is always a good idea to read up before you decide to make a big change like this one.
- Stock up on filtered water – The GAPS Diet recommends filtered water because it will help to reduce toxins within your body and your environment. Make sure that you have plenty of filtered water to drink, and install a filter for your showerhead and bathtub.
